The text  is white and the background is white in the result space.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change to using Air plasma theme.
2.  Do any operation.
3.  Try reading the answer.
Actual Results:  
You can't read it.

Expected Results:  
You can read it.

I cannot reproduce it either (Mageia Linux 3, new UNIX user account, kdebase4-workspace-4.9.80-3.mga3 , kcalc-4.9.80-1.mga3 ). You didn't specify a version.

I can't reproduce either.

Please reopen this bug if you can recreate this, being sure to update the version field in the report. (the applet was rewritten at some point, it is possible this was unknowingly fixed)
