If I try to load new widgets from on-line the desktop crashes. I don't know how to post any logs (if there are any) so any info they's contain I can't give as of yet. Tell where they are and I'll gladly post them. The Desktop does restart after about ten seconds but it's a very vervous ten seconds. What I can tell you : Linux Mint 14 64 Bit (Mate) I custom installed KDE 4.9 using sudo apt-get install kde-full. Can't find The Linux Mint 14 KDE release. HP Pavillion DV6, 6GB RAM, 640GB HDD CPU: AMD A8-3520M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics GPU: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI BeaverCreek [Mobility Radeon HD 6620G] Audio: HD-Audio Generic (STAC92xx Analog) Audio: ALSA Timer Device Audio: ALSA Sequencer Device Audio: HD-Audio Generic Audio: HD-Audio Generic(HDA Intel ALSA hardware specific Device) Audio: HD-Audio Generic (HDMI 0) Network: RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller Network: Loopback device Interface Network: RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter Mostly plain vanilla install, then install some stuff from the Terminal and some with Synaptic. I did update to the latest kernel and after a reboot uninstall the old kernel but it did it with the original shipping kernel too. no error messages to report just the crash with either kernel. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. launch widgets app 2. click download new widgets button 3. desktop crashes 4. After approx. 10 "very nervous" seconds desktop restarts. No further issues 5. that's it. Actual Results: See steps to reproduce Expected Results: loaded the list of widgets available online so I can chose which one(s) I want. none.
