Description karaluh 2012-11-29 10:53:35 UTC
I keep getting the error message from the summary for one of my IMAP accounts. There are many issues with it, but the main is: I don't know what Mailbox kmail complains about so I don't know where to start fixing the issue.

Reproducible: Always

Still valid ?
Do you see your mailbox in your webmail ?

Can't check, bug 314514 is still not fixed.

> Do you see your mailbox in your webmail ?

Webmail and thunderbird work fine.

this is so annoying. running KDE 4.11, it is doing for only 1 of my IMAP account.

I think I will trash the account and recreate it, that might fix it.

the think I have many similar IMAP accounts on the same server...

I'm not sure how this is related with the crash on bug #285653
Comment 4 Mathieu Jobin 2013-08-24 02:58:58 UTC
deleted the account in my kmail settings and recreated them.

getting the same error.

let me know what other info I can provide.

The IMAP resource has a new maintainer, reassigning to him.

If you can reproduce the error, please try gathering an IMAP log:

In a console:

export KIMAP_LOGFILE=/tmp/imap.log
akonadictl restart

This will log all IMAP traffic to /tmp/imap.log.pid.*

You can then find the right files by comparing the pid of your affected imap resource. Please strip all private information before uploading or send the files to me in private.

Alternatively you can also try .xsession-errors to see what theimap resource is doing. You might have to enable debug output using kdebugdialog first.

I have the same issue. Akonadi does prefix folders with an additional "INBOX.".

Failed:
C: A000738 SELECT "INBOX.INBOX"
C: A000911 SELECT "INBOX.INBOX.SCC"

Correct:
C: A001216 SELECT "INBOX"
C: A001247 SELECT "INBOX.SCC"

I could not see a reason for that error. The folders are working, and i could not see any impact on the functionality. But its annoying ...

Just seen a second to late. This folders are submitted by our mailserver. It seems like a issue with courier and not akonadi.

S: * LIST ( \HasNoChildren ) . INBOX.INBOX.SCC

I will try to get that log with recent KDE
