Description Seb gps-camera.eu 2012-11-28 12:13:07 UTC
A lot of users may have done proper tagging with place names (EG, FR, France, Paris, Pigalle) in IPTC or XMP.

==> This data can be uses to derive - more or less precise - lat/lon/alt coordinates.
==> This would help to make the pictures available for map search tool, ...

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Pictures with geotags (coordintes) with reduced work.

http://www.geoiptc.com/EN/Index.html shows that this can work.

Current Geographic search options

IPTC Location fields - Country, State-Province, City and Sublocation fields should be searchable.
