I was asked by a wonderful KDE developer to submit this bug. Basically, the clock and date are displaying different from one another when you try to show both at once. My screenshot shows what I mean. I have to also let you know that while I use Kubuntu, I have tried other distributions (Debian, OpenSUSE, Mandriva) to see if it reoccurs and it does everytime. Interestingly I installed Trinity DE on another computer and I found that in that AND KDE 3.x (I found an old distribution with it to test out) that the clock/date applet had more customization options for the date and time, so they would end up looking the same together, or you can choose for them not to be the same. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Place the clock applet on that KDE comes with 2. Turn on the date.. it doesnt matter if its short or long 3. Make the menu bar small enough so it doesnt layer itself. Actual Results: The date and time fonts are not the same Expected Results: Should be the same? Or at least have a better dialog control panel for its options. I made a little screenshot for you all here of the bug in question: http://imagebin.org/236202
in 4.10 digital clock widget with date behaves perfectly on panel resizing
Created attachment 77899 [details] Screenshot showing the problem. Still exactly the same behaviour in 4.10. Here is a new screenshot. The time should use the same font size as the date.
Also, the time and date should both use the same font and size as all other panel items.
ok, bug CONFIRMED in 4.11 beta 2. even if it a cosmetic bug, still date/time could have same font, style and size of task manager window titles.
Using kubuntu 16.04 with Plasma 5.6.5. I've configured the date and time widget to display time and date. It displayed correctly date and time sind today morning. But suddenly the time is not displayed, only the date.

Hello! This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug has already been resolved in Plasma 5. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
