Description Thomas Pfeiffer 2012-11-19 21:00:11 UTC
When I'm on battery and set the screen brightness to something other than 60%, it is reset to 60% after a short while. This happens even when I uncheck Power Management from the Plasmoid. In Settings, brightness is set to 100%.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Unplug the power if plugged in
2. Tap the battery plasmoid
3. Set screen brightness to something other than 60%
4. Wait for a few dozen seconds
Actual Results:
Brightness resets itself

Expected Results:
User setting should be kept

Happened on Devel image with updates from today.

I am experiencing a very similar issue, similar enough to believe they are related. When I adjust my brightness through the battery in the taskbar, after a few moments it resets to 100%. This happens both on battery and AC power. I am not sure what other information I should provide but I am using a samsung laptop, KDE 4.9 & Kernel 3.6.7 with Linux Mint 13. This same issue has been present since I began using kde on Archlinux as well.
