I'd prefer Favorite Places to open Dolphin instead of displaying files and subfolders in a folder clicked. I'm not sure if file browser function in Homerun is necessarry. For me rather not. Perhaps (for some users) in Folder section but not necessarily in Favorite Places section. But if other users want to keep browsing let it be optional. For me Homerun is rather "a quick access tool" but nothing more. And I don't want it to be "all in one" tool. Please keep it fast. For "Files" section I would suggest rethinking its function. Instead of browser I would prefer to be able to add there some favourite or just temporary files I currently work with, like some pdf's or odt's ducuments for quick access if i have them in different folders on my hard disk. For me personally that would be far more useful than coping Dolphin's browsing function. I will fill another bug report for this, as it seems to be separate issue.
One more thing concerning Favorite Places. Would it be possible to make Favorite Places independent from those in Dolphin and be able to set other set of folders in Homerun as favorite? Why this function? Because I use Places in Dolphin along with Tree view, so I can't add as many folder to Places as I wish because it would get cluttered. In Homerun I'd like to be able to have much more favorite folders, all that I want to have. So I think this could work something like shortcuts or something. Perhaps this could be as separate tab if not possible in Favorite Places.
Being able to browse content is one of the core features of Homerun so it is not going to be removed. Having said that, we plan to add a way to trigger different actions from a result item: this would make it possible for folder items to be opened with Dolphin.
Homerun 0.2.0 can now open folders with Dolphin.
