Sometimes data will not be synced. If I for example add an event in Kontact, this will be automatically synced/uploaded to google servers and will soon show up on google calendar. If I create something on google calendar however (or on an android app which uploads/syncs to google calendar) it will not sync/download to Kontact. This leaves my to-do list and calendar data on my laptop unreliable and therefore unusable. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an event on google calendar 2. wait for it to download 3. click refresh / restart app... still won't sync Actual Results: Data doesn't sync Expected Results: Data syncs Data should be consistantly a two-way sync for it to be useful at all. How can it be that vital functionality like this is still broken nearly 5 years into KDE 4? It seems like every point release comes with the claim that PIM will work from now on, but it never does. Please guys, make this stuff work, or we can't use KDE! And we really want to!
I have the same problem there. Sync not working, the only way actually to sync is delete google calendar in Kontact and re-add the same google calendar
why are you using googledata in kde 4.9? I didn't think that was possible. you need to delete that resource and use the new google resources. there is a Google Calendar and Tasks resource and a Google Contacts resource googledata is unmaintained
I have add (with a right click on the frame) a Google calendar and Activity Google, my wife use Win (argh!) and we use a Google calendar (with some events sharing) for remember some task or event.
Today the sync work in one direction (KDE->Google), if I create an event on Korganizer this is add on the Google page (after reload page), if I try to create event on Google and press F5 on Korganizer obtain a message "Before you can synchronize the folder "akonadi_ical_resource_11" it is necessary that the resource is online. Do you want to make it online?", I click on Yes, but nothing happens. In the folder .kde / share / apps / folder described does not exist, while there are folders akonadi_ical_resource_ from zero to seven. Surely I did not really understand something, but that information message is somewhat cryptic.
