Hi all, First, I am in trouble since I switch my system to sysinitv to systemd. Archlinux use systemd now as default system init. My systemd configuration seems good. I got no errors or other troubleshooting in my system, except with akonadi. So what happen. Sometimes my calendar events are not displayed in korganizer. Kmail can't load email messages. Today I can not delete message. When I try to delete a message from my imap inbox, kmail said it is not possible to move email (translation from french message not the real english warning). I have problem with my contacts. I recently add contacts in kaddressbook and if I try to use kmail autocomplete in recipient input, old contacts appear but not the new ones. So today I search about this problem. An advice is to delete .local/share/akonadi folder from your home. I did it but when I started akonadi I have always the same problem with mysql. I attached the 2 errors log file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just start akonadi. Actual Results: Same troubleshootings than described. New KDE update solve some problems but not all. [ioo@shikoku ~]$ kdeinit4 --version Qt: 4.8.3 KDE: 4.9.3 I do not upload errors logs because except the date they are the same. Kmail *To Read my email. Really depend but sometimes : - I select an email and I can read it. - I select an email and I have to wait more than 20sec to read it. - I restart kmail because email content is not loaded. *I can now delete email. I also have to do the 3 process described in to read my email to successfull delete a message. I don't know what happen but my akonadi resource configuration has changed. My initial configuration was to remove from imap (inbox or any folder in my imap account) to local trash. When I go back to resource configuration the setting wasn't set anymore. For my 3 imap akonadi resources I have to reinsert this setting. *No more autocompletion from kaddress book in kmail recipient message input. Before in kde 4.9.2 old contact appear when I type something. But since 4.9.3 nothing happen. I can go to select a contact in a message with the select button and search in kaddress book. I think in 4.9.2 it works with old contacts and not new because kmail also save frequently used contacts. As I deleted mysql database, I think it also deletes this memory. So I suspect this functionality doesn't work than more than one or two updates. Kalendar Everyday when I start my computer and my kde session I have to check my calendar checkbox to display my calendar. If I restart the program the calendar checkbox stay checked.

Do you still observe any of these problems? Regarding autocompletion, I think it has been disabled in 4.9 because it was broken, should work now in 4.11/4.12. The checkboxes in KOrganizer seem to behave more reasonably now :-)
Hi Daniel, I moved from kde to razor-qt desktop during spring 2013. KDE apps are great but virtuoso and nepomuk make me crazy with their issues. They use too much memory and I had to kill them all the time to use the desktop. So in kdepim apps, I lost a lot of usefull functionnalities. Now I use owncloud and I synchronise my pim data with thunderbird, address book of thunderbird, lightning. The main problem is, I can't contribute to kde. I can just thanks contributors for their job during many years I used it without troubles.
