Which Plasma NM version do you use? You can see the version string in "Manage Connections" -> "Other". You shoudl use using 0.9.0.5, there are crases in VPN importing code in older versions.
It is Version 0.9.0.3 (nm09 20120617). This is the newest Version in Debian.
Unfortunately you need to upgrade to 0.9.0.5 to use the fix for this isse. See bug #307517 for the detail where the crash happens. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 307517 ***
Thank you!
