Description Hubert Mueller 2012-11-01 11:20:04 UTC
Under OpenSUSE 12.2 and kde 4.92 I cannot open kmail neither by trying it directly nor via Kontact.
The screen shows up on the desktop for less than a second and disappears

Ok need more infos.
Crash ?
Backtrace ?
Warning in console ?
etc.
Comment 2 Hubert Mueller 2012-11-01 13:34:26 UTC
Hi
for my intention: no crash
no message on the screen
did not look into console, will do that, anything else?

I need info about your problem :)

KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a
valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you
tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was
created. You should not do that since it most likely will not work

Hello Laurent
it took a while, but I had serious health problems the weeks ago.
The kmail problem still exists, therefore I send the Konsol "remarks" when
trying to start from Konsol.
I hope this is the info you need

This clearly means you're mixing packages. Make sure your packages all come from the same place and have a consistent version
