Description underline 2012-11-01 07:23:59 UTC
When user selects some display resolution and presses Accept configuration the dialog view with progress bar shows up, that allows the user to apply the settings or revert them. Also user can just wait and the settings will be reverted automatically. The same behavior should be, when user presses Revert to previous configuration, but it is not. When user presses that button the configuration is just reverted on the system settings window, but the old display settings remain until user presses Apply.

If someone messed up with resolutions and cannot see anything, they cannot do anything but wait. If user presses Escape then Revert to previous configuration is applied, so they can't return the system to it's previous state (because they cannot see anything), unless they know the shortcut for the Apply button.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. System Settings -> Display and Monitor
2. Change some resolution
3. On the popup click Revert to previous configuration
Actual Results:
The settings are reverted just on the view but not applied.

Expected Results:
The settings should be applied.

Thanks for reporting your bug.

Since reporting Krandr has since been replaced by KScreen. It is available in the Plasma 4 series, and is default in Plasma 5 onwards.

I hope this solves your issue. If you still have a problem after upgrading please reopen a new bug under kscreen.

Thanks
