Description karaluh 2012-10-31 13:48:34 UTC
As in summary. I tried to copy a contact with home address to google resource which failed. However, I have the contact listed on this resource as if it was succesfuly copied. going to google.com/contacts confirms, that this contact is indeed not there. Refreshing doesn't help.

Reproducible: Always

Could this issue be caused by bug 309314?

It depends on what issue you are talking about. It doesn't matter what bug caused the contact to not copy to google resource. This bug is about the fact, that despite the contact not being copied, kaddresbook shows it as if it was.

That is Akonadi/KAddressbook issue, not a specific issue of the akonadi_googlecontacts_resource. I have already reported this issue with KAddressbook some time ago, see bug 309324.

However I'm still interested in reason why the contact was not uploaded to Google servers :) If you are able to reproduce with a specific contact, could you please provide some more information about the contact?

It was either XML unsafe characters or custom IM protocol, so both should be resolved now :) Good to see PIM finaly getting mature, it was too buggy to use for too long. Thank you, very much.
