Does this still happen in KDE 4.10.2 or later? If yes, we should reassign to KIO.
Created attachment 79463 [details] strace output from dolphin with a link to a missing nfs server in the sidebar
Qt: 4.8.4 KDE Development Platform: 4.10.2 Dolphin: 2.2 It now opens and lists files in the default directory when the nfs server is missing. However clicking on any type of file opens the associated application but in a hung state, i.e.; clicking on a .jpg will open gwenview with an empty frame but gwenview never actually opens the image. The same is true with a text file and kate, or opml and konqueror. Once I launched a few applications this way plasma goes into uninterruptible sleep: 1566 ? Dl 6:42 /usr/bin/plasma-desktop It does come out of it in 3-5 minutes
Eh....nevermind my previous comment, wrong Dolphin bug. Not enough coffee yet apparently. Haven't seen a random crash on copy for a few weeks
Thanks.

> Does this still happen in KDE 4.10.2 or later? If yes, we should reassign to KIO. Crash happened in Dolphin 4.13.3 (see report 341245). Reopen and reassign it to KIO.
Crash in unmaintained/unsupported KF4 software. If anyone can still reproduce using recent KF5 versions of KIO and Dolphin, please file a new bug.
