- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Do a clean installation of openSUSE 12.2 KDE 64 on a notebook. When doing the very first wlan-connection, first open the networkmanager-frontend, open settings, change the "Connection Secrets" to not store the key encrypted, but to store it in file (unencrypted).
Apply. The KDE-wallet-assisstant opens, although nm is configured *not* to use it. Cancel the wallet-assistant, then it will crash.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
