When I import a DOCX MS-Word document, I noticed that an graphic was overwritten by the next one. In the attached document you will find on page 5 and 6 graphics that do not have text in between them. This somehow causes the situation where both graphics are placed on top of each other. When I import the same MS-Word document, saved as DOC file, then I see that the first graphic is not placed correctly, but on a new page. Which is strange as that there is enough space (as the import through docx shows). But also here we have also the similar issue with putting two graphics on top of each other. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 74848 [details] Used test document in docx format
Created attachment 74849 [details] Used test document in doc format
The resulting odt document is using <text:soft-page-break/> To inform about page breaks. Seems like words does not care about them atm.
Created attachment 76586 [details] Odt file in which the problem can be seen
lassi: soft breaks are not something that should always result in a pagebreak. It's a hint that this is where the app that saved the file started a new page
that said, i can indeed see that we seem to put the images on top while LO doesn't. I know that horizontally we prevent overlap - I wonder if it's something similar that happens vertically . As for the first image in the .doc file: I think it has something to do with keep lines or paragrapahs together properties
