The 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and \ keys are displayed as boxes, as if the font didn't contain the character, even though the numbers should be regular numbers, and 5, 6, and 9 are. ie: they are not Arabic numbers. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Arabic keyboard layout. 2. Add the widget. 3. Click it to open the keyboard. 4. Switch to the Arabic layout. Actual Results: See attached picture. Linux Mint 13 "Maya" - KDE (32-bit), not Ubuntu (wasn't in the list). Since kvkbd doesn't change to match the current layout this keyboard is the best option, aside from this issue. Thanks for an awesome desktop!

Thomas, the screen shot in comment #1 does not show kvkbd, but a plasma widget. Where to assign this to?
Oh yes, sorry, my bad. I don't know if the keyboard widget is maintained by the Plasma team, but I'll assign the bug to them, hoping they can make use of it.
Seems to be related to bug #245184
Created attachment 84156 [details] Plasma Keyboard widget when Arabic layout is selected Screenshot: Plasma Keyboard widget when Arabic layout is selected Using KDE 4.11.2, so this particular bug wasn't fixed in 4.5.x.
Workaround: Change the Keyboard layouts so that Arabic is first. This makes Plasma Keyboard Widget work "correctly" for Arabic (only), but is not ideal. So the 2nd and rest of layouts will still be incorrect.
Hello! This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug is already resolved in Plasma 5. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
