- What I was doing when the application crashed:

- attempting to install an usb-network printer, I get repeatadly crashes;  
- printer is quite modern Brother HL-2250DN; 
- installing via cups as recommended from BROTHER does _not_ work.
- astonishing (for me): the system settings windows stays open, wheras printer installing windows crashes.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
