Description Martin Bednar 2012-10-23 23:11:58 UTC
When creating a numbered list, inserting a paragraph and creating another numbered list, the numbering resumes where the previous list left off. While this might come in handy in some situations, more often than not a user might want to create a list with a reinitialized numbering. Currently the way to reinitialize the numbering is very unclear. I succeeded once, and even now am unsure as to the how.
Comment 1 Martin Bednar 2012-10-23 23:21:59 UTC
One way of making this easier is adding a new "dynamic" style "previous list"; this style would continue with the numbering, whilst all other list styles would start from scratch when applied.
All numbered list styles would have "previous list" as their default next style.
The downside is that it would break the combination :
list A; counter 1
list B; counter 2
list C; counter 1
For this an advanced way of managing counters would be needed.
Just a thought.

Not sure how you insert those lists - but using the quick gui restarts the numbering just fine

If you use the enumerated list paragraph style then yes indeed it continues
