Description David Edmundson 2012-10-19 23:03:33 UTC
Whilst logged in as a guest it is possible to lock the screen form the menu.

As guest has no password, one cannot get back from this.

Fix may be best in kde-workspaces or in guest-setup script to not allow the lock.

This bug still exist with Kubuntu 13.10 (shipping kde-workspace 4.11.3).

Workaround is clearing the password as root:

    passwd -d guest-XXXXX

We no longer use lightDM, having moved to SDDM several years ago. As such, this bug report is no longer applicable. Bugs reports for the new SDDM-based login screen should be filed to one of two places:

1. Visual/UI bugs with the login screen UI itself, or feature requests: plasmashell | Theme - Breeze
2. Bugs with the login/user switching process: https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues
