When using Qt 4.8.3 with kwin_gles all hell breaks loose. When typing into text boxes in a IRC client I get no feedback, however, pressing carriage return sends the text to the IRC channel

I see alot of tearing and artifacts on the screen as demonstrated by the screenshot linked.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install kwin_gles
2. Use kwin_gles with Qt 4.8.3

Actual Results:  
Artifacts on screen, screen tearing, etc etc

Expected Results:  
Would have expected things to just work

This seems to be a regression since kwin_gles works just fine with Qt 4.8.2

Sure that it is related to Qt and not related to Mesa 9 like all the other reports we have here about the huge breakage which happened in Kubuntu 12.10 with Mesa 9?

Now that you mention it, I think it could be mesa 9 since it seems to have upgraded along with Qt on 12.04.

Downgrading to mesa 8 to check right now

Sigh, seems to be an issue due to the mesa 9 upgrade that happened this morning for me.
Goes away once I downgrade to mesa 8.
