Description uc 2012-10-15 17:04:53 UTC
After installation of openSuse 12.2 64-bit replaced 11.4 (32-bit), every boot of 12.2 results in kded crash.
Followed "crash manager" to edit repositories and downloaded debug files, then gathered backtraces for several crashes. Was unable to file a report from the "crash manager" because it could not connect to kded--of course :-)
On Toshiba Satellite with what I thought was two cores of Intel i5, but My Computer says 4 cores.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.restart computer, nothing more
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Window pops up to say kded stopped unexpectedly.

followed a suggestion to download 3 additional packages (lib packages) but failed to note their names as I expected the update to cure the problem.
Have several backtraces but don't see where to attach them. Here's one pasted:

Application: kded4 ($Id$)
KDE Platform Version: 4.8.5 (4.8.5) "release 2"
Qt Version: 4.8.1
Operating System: Linux 3.4.11-2.16-desktop x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE 12.2 (x86_64)"

-- Information about the crash:
<In detail, tell us what you were doing when the application crashed.>

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: KDE Daemon (kdeinit4), signal: Segmentation fault

Comment 1 Jekyll Wu 2012-10-15 17:18:06 UTC
duplicate of bug 300113 ?
Comment 2 Lamarque V. Souza 2012-10-15 17:44:29 UTC
yes. The crash happens a line after #300113 but since #300113 already corrupted the pointer anything after it can be a duplicate.
