Description Clemens Haupt 2012-10-15 09:05:03 UTC
Opening addressbook with kmail opens a window showing not a single addressbook to use.
Klicking around sometimes shows an addressbook usable but only after rebooting, but not regularly.
I only can use addressbook in plain text in a different Terminal.
I tried to read help text but it was of no help.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Opening kmail, no addressbook exists
2.Klicking on kmail -> extra -> addressbook some "window" is opened, bur not with a single
addressbool ist mentioned, not a single one is present
3.Klicking around at akonadi console, ther are a variety of addressbooks are seen, sychronizing each shows some action, restarting does not chang any behaving. The "windows" for the
addressbook is still empty.
4. Doing this again and again from time to time brings addressbooks, but these are gone after rebooting.
Actual Results:
Disgusting,

Expected Results:
Klicking on kmail -> extra -> addressbook shows addressbook immediatly and from now on it vcan be used even after rebooting.

x86_64, KDE updated from 3.5

Really?
Are you sure?
So you want me to kill kmail, it is of no use any longer
And try to replace KDE ASAP right?
Comment 5 Laurent Montel 2012-10-15 15:56:13 UTC
We don't support outdated kdepim...
kdepim-4.0 will release in 2009. So no we will not fix it for this release.
update it, reopen bug if you have it in new version.
But no we will not work on outdated version.
4.0 -> 4.9.2 !
