Description Lowell Miles 2012-10-11 03:04:54 UTC
When screen is locked a korgac event will cause the screen locking password window to remain once the screen is unlocked. The korgac event is on the application tray and when the cursor is over korgac on the application tray the event can be seen.

After the screen is unlocked the screen lock password window remains on top of all other windows and cannot be killed or moved. The korgac event is not displayed other than as the screen lock password window.

The behaviour started several weeks ago.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add event to korganizer
2. lock screen and wait for event to happen
3.unlock screen
Actual Results:
korgac event is not displayed. It seems to be replaced by the screen lock password window which cannot be killed or moved and is always on top of other windows in the center of the display.

Expected Results:
Screen lock password window goes away and korgac event is displayed when screen is unlocked.

This began several weeks ago. Using version 4.9.2 of korgac.

Today's (10/13) korganizer reminder is not visible, but shows up in the virtual desktops as small boxes in the center of each of the 4 desktops. The reminder has proper dimension since windows underneath unhighlight when inside the invisible reminder window. The reminder happened at midnight when the screen was locked in KDE. The screen lock password prompt did go away this time.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korgac (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
