likely dupe of bug #306795, for sure in the driver, lacks a better backtrace to say for sure. Nouveau OpenGL support is not ready for end users, use the prop. nvidia blob if you can or use XRender compositing. What language firefox uses for what reason (did you log into a failsafe session?) is completely unrelated and needs to be sorted out by firefox people.
