Description Rahul Goma Phulore 2012-10-07 08:04:22 UTC
Desktop switch on-screen display used to be translucent but has now become opaque, which IMO does not go well with rest of the plasma theme. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like now: http://i.imgur.com/vS0Bc.jpg.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open KDE control module, go to virtual desktop settings, switching tab.
2. Turn on Desktop Switch On-screen Display.
3. Try moving across virtual desktops.
Actual Results:
Opaque on-screen switch appears.

Expected Results:
The on-screen switch should be translucent, like it was in 4.8.5.

It's back to being translucent. What do I do with this report?

most likely bug #179042 and friends then (libplasma misses the compositing state) or you had configured a plasma theme where those items were not translucent. Can you rule out the latter? (ie. "did you change the plasma theme interim?")

Thank you for your response.

Yeah, I can rule out the latter. I did not tamper with it.
