Description Eduardo Medina 2012-10-04 14:32:17 UTC
I seen this bug in Jajuk a long time ago, and now I see it in Amarok and it strange me.

I think it's from an array that point to a null position or a position with garbage.

Video:
http://www.2shared.com/file/fOTLXr1B/amarok-playlist-fail.html

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Amarok.
2. Configure a Playlist with a only song.
3. Configure Amarok to repeat the Playlist (not a only song).
4. Amarok can't repeat the list with a only song.
Actual Results:
I have to use the song repeat to repeat a playlist with a only song.

Has anyone seen this?

Yes, I just didn't find time to test it, but it is on our radar.

I tried that today and can't reproduce this with current Amarok 2.6-git.

What phonon backend are you using? I use the phonon-backend-vlc and can repeat any playlist containing only one track.

I use Gstreamer backend, but with VLC backend the bug persist.

Where is the Amarok log file?

erm, that screenshot doesn't show the vlc backend to be installed. To make it work you need to install the phonon-backend-vlc, change the backend in the KDE systemsettings -> Multimedia -> Phonon -> Backend and restart KDE, else it will continue on the gstreamer backend.

Also could you please not use external storage? Most are bound to expire, please attach the files to this bug instead.

The screenshot not, but in this video...

... Amarok is configured for VLC backend. I restart KDE several times and the bug continues.
Comment 8 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-10-12 19:11:08 UTC
And I still can't reproduce it. Where is the file located you try to repeat?
Comment 9 Eduardo Medina 2012-10-13 15:35:09 UTC
The file is in my home folder, into Music folder, /home/edu/Música (Música is Music in Spanish).

All my music are in a EXT4 partition.

I couldn't reproduce here because it is already fixed for the upcoming Amarok 2.7
