Description Alex Fiestas 2012-09-29 17:46:29 UTC
I think that autoconnect should be enabled by default. I know that there is a concern about privacy which I share, but answer to this question:

How many times do you connect your PC and you don't want to be auto connected?
In my case, connecting Ktp is the first thing I do.

Also, we should lose the tri-state checkbox.

Reproducible: Always

Flagged for discussion, dropped to unconfirmed till then.

Autoconnect setting is going to be useless when we will have presence based on activity.
Enabling it by default and/or removing the 3-state checkbox will break and/or make it impossible to have different settings for different accounts at the moment, so I'm strongly against it.

Perhaps for now we could resolve this issue with a popup when the first account is created asking if you want all the accounts to be set online at login ( [yes] [no] [manual] ) or something similar?

Renamed to avoid confusion with Account::connectsAutomatically which is different

Discussed in meeting, rejecting proposal.
