Description Thoralf Backhaus 2012-09-19 13:41:04 UTC
Application: systemsettings (1.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.9.1
Qt Version: 4.8.2
Operating System: Linux 3.2.0-31-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
When opening Workspace Appearance in systemsettings it crashes every time. Updating from KDE 4.8.4 to 4.9.0 and later to 4.9.1 did not affect this. It still crashes. No other module of systemsettings causes a crash, only Workspace Appearance. I deleted ~/.kde directory while using OpenBox, then logged out and changed to KDE again, but the crash still appears.

- Custom settings of the application:
I guess it could be a custom setting of window effects - I changed from default window close effect to exploding windows. I do not know anymore if I also changed other effects (long time ago that I changed it, did not want to reinstall my system because of this).

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Ubuntu developers decided to bump the version of decoration libraries, so you either have to recompile or ask the PPA provider for a recompiled version.
