Description Admc 2012-09-18 17:32:54 UTC
System tray's weird behavior can be observed if you try to change or rewind song in Music On Console player. This happened after update to KDE 4.9.1. Also, during the rewind, the plasma-desktop process uses lots of CPU.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Music On Console
2. Run MOC
3. Play a song
4. Change a song or start rewinding it (using ← or → arrow keys)
5. Look on system tray
Actual Results:
Icons in system tray are blinking and changing their places

Expected Results:
Icons in system tray should behave normally (like in KDE 4.9.0)

KDE 4.9.1
Reproduces with audio (clemetine, amarok) and video (vlc, smplayer) files on start/stop/ and next/previous actions.

reproduces on 4.9.2

Same problem here. Upgraded from 4.8.5 to 4.9.2 and the system tray is broken. Blinking when I see a video in my browser and different icons regarding the position https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305008

I guess for me it's a kmix issue reported here - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309045. Solved by installing kmix from GIT.

It still exists in KDE 4.9.3 with Clementine.

Following the link in the duplication notice, you see that it is fixed in KDE version 4.10.
