Description Joshua J. Kugler 2012-09-17 19:10:51 UTC
Sometimes when deleting a message from a folder, the notifier will tell me something like:

Local Folders: Could not move message '1347770754.R673.hosanna'.

and it leaves that message in the folder. Trying to delete again gives me the same message. I have hit shift-delete to delete the message, so it's not transferred to the trash.

This also can happen when trying to filter messages, but I suspect it relates to not being able to delete the source message.

I confirm it. Wil look at it
Comment 2 Joshua J. Kugler 2013-02-26 07:20:12 UTC
This also happens on certain folders. For example, every time I enter an inbox folder for one of my accounts, i get several (a couple dozen?) notices that it can't move messages.

When the process runs to sync the local folders (or when I restart Akonadi), I can get several dozen such notices.

By the way, this is still present in 4.10.0

I get the same messages and all I do is read mail in my inbox folder. Each time when any message gets marked as read I get several of these error notifications. And I think that one time when I checked for new mail this problem was connected with creation of multimple copies of all the recieved email messages. I'm using 4.10.2 here.

Adding self as CC... I can confirm this is a problem for me on kde-4.11.2 on Fedora 19, and has been for many moons.
Comment 6 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:18:37 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 7 Joshua J. Kugler 2016-09-26 06:25:34 UTC
I still get this constantly on KMail version 4.14.3 (KDE 4.14.13).

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.

Joshua, sorry, but the version you use is still much too old.
