Installed last night through MacPorts. When trying to change the theme (it only shows one) or go into configuration the error shows: "Cannot start Colors Settings panel from KDE Control Ceneter. Please check your system..." Mac 10.8.1 Running on MacBook Pro. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start DigiKam 2. Go Themes->Configuration 3. Actual Results: Error "Cannot start Colors Settings panel from KDE Control Ceneter. Please check your system..." Expected Results: Able to change themes
This problem is relevant of KDE under MACOSX. digiKam use KDE Control panel extension to manage desktop color theme. If i'm not too wrong, this component do not compile yet under MACOSX due to a huge decency to X11 library. At least, last time that i try to compile it from macports, it doesn't work... Any tips on alternative methods to utilize themes?
Under MACOSX, with Macports, i recompiled/installed only kcm_colors component. whole kde control panel is not compilable. I checkout only colors compnent source code from git, and it compile... It's an advanced user way. In fact whole kde control center must be compilable under MACOSX. I re-assing this entry to KDE core. There is nothing todo in digiKam. Gilles Caulier
