Description DrSlony 2012-09-13 20:38:07 UTC
I would like to be able to swap the filenames of two selected files around.

Reason:
For some reason, my Pentax K10D doesn't always write file in order if I shoot a series (e.g. bracketing), so instead of -2EV, 0EV, +2EV (for HDR creation) I end up with some bracketed sets out of order. The timestamps of the out-of-order files are identical, so I can't sort by date and mass-rename.

It would be great if I could select two files and hit a key to switch their names.

How to swap two filenames around in 2.9.0:
To switch their names in 2.9.0, for example I have 012.raw 013.raw and 014.raw but I need to swap 012 with 013, I have to do the following:
1. Click on 012.raw
2. F2 and rename it to 013a.raw
3. Click on 013.raw
4. F2 and rename it to 012.raw
5. Click on 013a.raw
6. F2 and rename it to 013.raw

This is made even worse by Bug 306767.

Reproducible: Always
