Description Marcus Harrison 2012-09-13 15:40:14 UTC
Konqueror has a feature in the status bar to create multiple frames in the same tab. Two or more frames can be linked by clicking the empty boxes in the bottom-right of the statusbar(s). In other KParts, this keeps the views in sync. This functionality does not work in kwebkitpart.

Reproducible: Always

This particular Konqueror functionality is one of those that is very KHTML specific. The feature assumes that each web frame was implemented as a KPart. That unfortunately is not the case in kwebkitpart because it relies on QtWebKit where the web frame is created and handled internally.

As such Implementing support for this feature in kwebkitpart will require some sort of hack. That is something I neither have the time nor the inclination to do at the moment. Someone else is welcome to try it however and I will be glad to help if needed.
