Description Michael Mair-Keimberger 2012-09-11 19:33:42 UTC
Right now its always a bit annoying when switching windows with ALT+TAB. Depending on which screen the actual active program is, the animation is shown on that screen. This means i always have to look on a particular screen to see the switcher.
For the simpler (like grid, compact, thumbnails) visualizations it's not such a big problem.
Really annoying is it for the flip switch and cover switch visualization because they always go over 2 screens. (changing the position dosen't help much). - You'll see it at the screenshot.
For a system with multiple monitors it would be really good to have an option on which screen the visualization of the switcher is shown. I have 3 monitors setup up and i would like to have the switching animation always on the middle screen.

Reproducible: Always

the effects only support two screens and unless we find someone to work on them, this will not change. I have only two screens and because of that cannot fix it.

"kcmshell4 kwinoptions", check "active screen follows mouse" - doesn't fix wonky triptych behavior, though

unrelated and IMO:
personally, i would not use flipswitch or any similar indirect switcher on a multiscreen setup (just tried) but sth. that allows to highlight the selected window in it's current position (i switched to a window on a different screen and was rather confused when the effect ended and i wanted to click into ... the wrong window ;-)
