Description Kelley Castleberry 2012-09-11 07:18:42 UTC
Application: plasma-desktop (0.4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.8.4 (4.8.4) (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.8.1
Operating System: Linux 3.2.0-30-generic x86_64
Distribution: Linux Mint 13 Maya

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I had just rebooted the laptop after disconnecting my second monitor which I was suspect of causing crashes.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
I noticed with the laptop NOT connected or Disconnected completely from the ViewSonic VG2021m Monitor that my Sony Vaio Laptop's Monitor now had a extra panel that I had placed on the ViewSonic before I rebooted from another crash involving the Amorak Music Player. I left clicked on the extra panel which should not have been there and removed the panel. The Sony Vaio screen then Flashed and the plasma desktop crashed resulting in this report.

- Custom settings of the application:
I have my desktop layout view as Search and Launch with a few widgets at the top of the screen and the Standard Linux Mint (their Logo default for KDE version) at the bottom of my monitor screen. In the middle of the screen are the applications I had selected to be there.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Plasma Desktop Shell (plasma-desktop), signal: Segmentation fault
