I've never reported a crash before so I'm not sure if this is a second report or not. Both crashes were listed as Segmentation fault. I had changed some settings - but had also just added some packages with synaptic package manager and trying to learn the mystery of metadata. The bug reports are just goobly gook to me - but it looks like both reports have something to do with glib. This is most likely a second report. If so I'm sorry. The star rating had a three and said it would be useful.  

I had just changed the plug in settings  for some things I don't use. Now that I think about it I'm sure this is a second report.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

Please upgrade your installation of KDE SC and Digikam

Problem fixed in 6.0.0 where all tools are now in digiKam core
