The screen brightness is reset to its max value every time I log in. It looks like a regression, because on kde 4.8, I didn't have that behaviour. My current brightness setting was preserved during login. Please not that in the system settings, in energy management, I disabled the brightness control under all modes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 0. Uncheck the britghness checkboxes in the energy managemnt 1. Start the computer, and wait for the login screen 2. Lower the brightness 3. Log in Actual Results: Brigthness is set to max. Expected Results: Brightness shouldn't change.
Maybe it's related... : when my laptop is mains powered, the brightness doesn't seem change when I log in. And when i'm on battery, the brigthness sometimes comes back to 100% when I enable the setting for dimming the screen after a time of inactivity.
I can confirm this, what data should i provide to fix this?

This is marked as 'NEEDSINFO', can someone clarify what info is needed?
I dont' think this report is set to the correct status.
Can't reproduce in Plasma 5.13.3: If I set the brightness to some arbitrary level, uncheck the Brightness checkboxes in Powerdevil, and then reboot, the system come up at whatever brightness level it had when I rebooted it.
