Description m.wege 2012-09-07 17:13:55 UTC
The audio test in "Configure Audio Hardware" ("front left/ "front right") is not localised, at least not in German, but I suspect it is not localised in general.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Jekyll Wu 2012-09-07 18:18:35 UTC
It is (at least) translated in Simplified Chinese. What is your KDE version?
Comment 2 m.wege 2012-09-07 18:19:43 UTC
4.90
Comment 3 m.wege 2012-09-07 18:20:25 UTC
To make it clear, I mean the audio file, not the text.
Comment 4 Christoph Feck 2012-09-07 22:56:20 UTC
Those audio files come from alsa, right?
Comment 5 Harald Sitter 2012-09-08 10:15:52 UTC
Actually I think they come from freedesktop's sound theme (accessed via libcanberra). So unless we use it wrong this is no issue in our kcm.

Colin, any comment?
Comment 6 m.wege 2012-09-08 20:27:15 UTC
I have no idea where they come from. I assume they are from KDE. Someone with source code knowledge should know.
Comment 7 Colin Guthrie 2013-05-25 22:26:09 UTC
Indeed the sound files come from the sound theme in use. Typically these would not actually be provided by any custom sound them and thus things should fall back to the sound-theme-freedesktop as was mentioned above.

If you wish to provide patches against the freedesktop sound theme for localized test sounds, I'm sure they would be accepted. You should submit your patch over at bugs.freedesktop.org.
