when I run the compiled .apk on the tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0), do not I get input from the keyboard

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. compile the project
2. copy .apk to the tablet
3. try to enter text
Actual Results:  
program is not fully responsive to the keyboard (but on-screen keyboard appears)

Expected Results:  
program is not fully responsive to the keyboard (but on-screen keyboard appears)

was entered using the keyboard

Please provide a simple example project which we can use to reproduce it.
