Nothing happens if you tap on the different links/stars/... of the Share/Like/Connect icons. Found on basyskom-plasma-active-archos-gen9-pvr-tablet-mer-devel-120826-1901 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a document 2. Tap on the top bar on Like, the little dialog comes down 3. Tap on the stars or 2. Tap on Share, the little dialog comes down 3. Tap on "Send by e-mail" or 2. Tap on Connect, the little dialog comes down 3. Tap on an activity name Actual Results: Nothing happens but the system remain usable (no freeze) Expected Results: It should do the following: A. Give a rating (yellow stars) B. Open kmail active with the URL/atachment C. Link it to an activity I don't know if it's related but if you click on position, the button "Change position" does not react either. Maybe, some underlying program causes it.

This looks like a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305415 which by itself looks like a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304875. All of them are related to taps not working, if the problem is in the touchscreen driver all of those bugs are duplicates. I do not think you need to report the same problem for each application affected by it since all applications will be affected by a problem in the touchscreen driver.
It is why I didn't report the bug with the button "position" not working. For me it's the same thing. Although it is more than possible that it is a duplicate of #304875, I am less sure that it is related with #305415 (but maybe related). In the first, nothing happens but the system continues to work (except that the dialog remains on top). You can still launch other applications (that go behind the dialog), shut down the tablet... In the second, there is a "Error loading QML" message and no tap at all working anymore. What have all these bug in common: they affect very specific Plasma Active features added on top of the standard Plasma: position/share/like/connect applets, Add items dialog and On-screen keyboard. There is not any problem with "standard" KDE applications/features running in PA, like the network manager applet, the notifications... Maybe some interraction between QML and the touchscreen driver? But you know more than me what is behind it. I'll try to connect other such bugs found on one of these three.
I don't know again if it's the same bug but in Calligra Active, although when you tap on the buttons to create a new text/spreadsheet/presentation you can see the button being pressed, nothing results of it. But if you press "Open document", then you are prompted with the file dialog. Again: different buttons, some working some not...
(In reply to comment #4) > I don't know again if it's the same bug but in Calligra Active, although > when you tap on the buttons to create a new text/spreadsheet/presentation > you can see the button being pressed, nothing results of it. But if you > press "Open document", then you are prompted with the file dialog. > > Again: different buttons, some working some not... Actually, this is not a technical bug, but a usability issue in Calligra: Those buttons are not for creating new documents, but for showing existing documents of that type. If there are no documents of the selected type on your device, nothing happens. I only understood what those buttons do when I asked the developer about them. Big usability problem, but the buttons "work as designed"
Tested in basyskom-plasma-active-archos-gen9-omapfb-tablet-mer-testing-release-rc3 : the problem remains. Affected: - Buttons Share/Like/Connect - Button Change location - Removable storage applet
