Description Oleg Dydyshko 2012-08-25 19:20:17 UTC
When translating the address bar in edit mode and erase the current data, the choice of available seats (desktop, fonts, programs, settings, trash) is blank

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Translate Location Bar in edit mode
2. Erase it
3. In the menu that appears, select desktop, fonts, programs, settings, trash
Actual Results:
Instead of displaying the desktop

Expected Results:
nothing is displayed

If you highlight the desktop to remove the trailing slash and hit enter, all appear.

Thanks for the bug report!

If I understand correctly, you want that the location is opened immediately when you click an item like 'desktop' in the menu, right? Right now, you have to press Enter in the location bar to open that location.

The "File Open" dialog has the same behaviour -> reassigning to KUrlNavigator.

IMHO, I would say this is not a bug. I would expect the current behavior given that the user is changing the URL by modifying the editing line. Therefore, the application returns the focus to the editing line for further navigation. This way it lets the user to type in more sub-directories or just accept the default value. In both cases the user has to press enter.
I think that for immediate navigation we have the side bar with Places/Remote/Recent/Devices.
