There is a bug 
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=183484
with Status: 	RESOLVED FIXED but on KDE 4.8.4 Kubuntu 12.04 32-bit there is no spell check function.
So the old bug status is invalid.
I am not sure if it is a bug or wishlist.

Please check other Kjots bugs and develop it further.

I am using kjots 4.9 (on arch) and there is still no spell check.

I look at to implement it in 4.10.

Now we have background spell checking.
Still missing configure spell checking :)

I don't use kjots anymore. As far as I am concerned you can dismiss this bug report.
