Could there be CTRL+0 (zero) for default zoom (like in Firefox) (or at least an ability to set it in the shortcuts)

Default zoom could be Fit Width, for example.

Reproducible: Always

What is "Default zoom"? 100%? Fit Width? Fit Height? The Zoom the document had when you opened it?

If you are going to add random wishes, at least be more exact and precise on what you want, because

Default zoom could be Fit Width, for example. Means "it could be 150%, for example?", "for example" doesn't sound has you have put a lot of thought on the issue.

'Fit Width' is an option in the Zoom tool in the toolbar menu.

I'll ask the same question, since you said nothing in your last message.

Why should Default Zoom be "Fit Width" and not "Zoom to 100%"?

Zoom to 100% would probably be better (there might be a few cases of pdfs where 100% might make the document look huge though).

I press CTRL+0 in Firefox to bring the page into default zoom, and then by accident I pressed CTRL+0 in Okular and thought it would be a useful shortcut.

This proves my point, you haven't thought on what you wanted before asking.

You just came here and asked something without putting any kind of time in thinking what was the best solution for people.

Please next time, think what is the best before asking something, because *we* are really busy people. Tou probably are very busy too, but you are only one, and we get bugs/wishes from hundreds of people, so it's better for the workflow if you come here with a thought out idea, not with a random thought that crossed your mind.

Thanks :-)

I would not know what was best, you are the developer. I did give the example:

> Default zoom could be Fit Width, for example.

which is what I always use, since it is the first item in the Zoom tool toolbar item.

> Could there be CTRL+0 for default zoom *(or at least an ability to set it in the shortcuts)*

I tried to set CTRL+0 as 'Fit Width' in the shortcuts but was unable to.

Why not?

I did not see it as an option in the shortcuts?

Thanks very much, I first typed in 'zoom' and did not see it, when looked at all of them I must have missed it.

I'll close this bug since you didn't even know what you were asking for.

Actually Zoom to 100% more often than the above case means that the text is too small to read; when Okular opens, the zoom defaults to 'Fit Width', so having a default shortcut CTRL+0 (zero) for 'Fit Width' might be better than "Zoom to 100%".
