Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Dolphin, press Ctrl-L to edit the URL 2. Start to enter a location which takes relatively long time to load (~5sec), like /net-drive/folder/next/... 3. URL is being reset to my home folder. But if i type /net-drive and immediately press Enter, folder does load normally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: see Details.
Thanks for the bug report! > Steps to reproduce: > 1. Open Dolphin, press Ctrl-L to edit the URL > 2. Start to enter a location which takes relatively long time to load > (~5sec) Hm, it seems that all folders here load to fast for me to be able to reproduce this. Do you use the terminal panel? If yes, does the problem persist if you disable it?
the problem persists, no matter if terminal panel is on or off (if by disable you mean just to hide it). Additional details: The problem happens the first time. When the URL has been reset, I try to enter the location again and this time it works. And it does work any subsequent times you try to do it. Probably, the first time it has cached a large part of needed data.
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
Can you still reproduce the problem in KDE 4.10.5 or later? If yes, does it only happen in Dolphin or also in the "Open File" dialog in other KDE applications? Thanks for your help.
Please reopen if you still see the problem in Dolphin 4.11.1 or later. Thanks.
I cannot reproduce this issue with Dolphin 17.12.3. Closing, please reopen if you still experience this behavior.
