Firstly, forgive me my English ;). I hope you will understand me. It is typical to assign or customize a specific enumeration type to some style. In result, when selecting this style a proper enumeration should be triggered or continued, if used before. But it doesn't work. Lets take an example: 1. Write couple of new lines and choose 'Head 1' style. Every new line starts with Arabic enumeration. That's OK. 2. Go to style manager and change enumeration to Roman. All the lines being written before should now start with Roman enumeration instead of Arabic. It doesn't happens. That's the BUG. P.S. You're doing great job with Calligra and I really appreciate that, but please work more on styles. This is the MOST important tool for every professional (and especially big) document.
I know it seems like a bug and usability-wise it is but technically Heading 1 is a not numbered but an outline and te numbering of the outline is not triggered throughthe style, but through some special setting (for which we apparently have no ui) Wondering how we can improve this
I believe it should be done in similar way it is done in MS Office and LibreOffice. See this: http://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Outline_Numbering In other words: specific styles should be assigned to the outline level and only to them. When choosing a outline level, the specific style is triggered and vice versa. If we're talking about GUI, You can do this in two ways: 1. You can create independent dialog window like it is in LO. I would also add button which would open a style manager window for selected style, so user would not have to search for it. 2. In existing enumeration tab in style manager you could add option like "assign this style to outline level". Personally I prefer first solution, because all options of outline would be in a single place. I also think that all the customization options of enumeration should be placed in style manager - unlike in LO or MS Word. Just let them like they are already in Calligra Words. The outline dialog box should be only for connecting style with outline level. I think it's the simplest solution.
I think I agree with you, but I need to read it again and discuss it with the main developer of this part

I am changing this to a wish item, as the code itself is behaving as designed. We need to change the design of the UI.
