I was logged into a jabber chat room and sent a message to the room. Does not happen every time, but often enough to be really annoying.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

This can happen if we get a message without a sender.

I'd like to find out the cause of this before we blindly put in a check, as this could be legit, or a symptom of another problem.

Any idea what the message is that causes this crash? Could it be some sort of service message? Is this on a public jabber server we could test on?

This is on 0.3.1, which is a much older release... I upgraded the packages on my machine to 0.4.1, from the Ubuntu quantal repo, and so far I haven't been able to reproduce the crash. I think it may have already been fixed. I'll update this after a couple more days.
