Picture frame resize very long picture, or very width picture with a bad aspect ratio Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. take a very large image ( ex : width of the picture = x5 of the height ; http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Featured_pictures/Places/Panoramas ) 2. Drag and drop the file from Dolphin on the Desktop , choose 'picture frame' Actual Results: The picture appear, but with a bad aspect ratio ( ex: in case of Panorama, the height looks streched down ... in case of a vertical long picture ; the height will be streched up ) Expected Results: Picture frame should keep the aspect ratio of the picture. ( sys: Kubuntu 12.04 , Kde 4.8.4 )
Just a bump about this bug, still here in 4.10.4 1 year after. Thanks if someone can test to reproduce it, and change the the bug to 'Confirmed'.
I confirm the bug is here. Looks like the code changes the ratio on panoramic pictures.

Hello! This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug has already been resolved in Plasma 5. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding! Nate Graham
Hi @Nate Graham, Thank you for pinging this thread from 2012. I indeed just tried to reproduce the bug with a recent "media frame" in plasma5, and the aspect ratio is correct. It was resolved fixed. I switch the status. Have a good day!
