Hello, I'm hitting an annoying issue since kde 4.8.4 (currently on 4.9.0). I have a two-monitor setup. When I play a movie with vlc(-2.x) on fullscreen in one of the monitors, I can't minimize windows on the other monitor clicking on their respective icons/titles in the Task Manager. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Play a movie with vlc in fullscreen mode in one of the monitors. 2. Click on a program's Task Manager icon/title on the other monitor to open/maximize the program. 3. Try to minimize the program clicking on the same spot (not the minimize/maximize/close icons in the right upper corner of the program). Actual Results: The program on the second monitor doesn't minimize. It just stays opened/maximized (probably clicking on it's icon/title just spawns maximize events?). Expected Results: The expected results should be the same as when vlc is minimized - programs on the second monitor are able to minimize/maximize using Task Manager's icons/titles. This only happens with *vlc* on fullscreen. If I use (s)mplayer, for example, programs minimize/maximize without problems. Version of vlc I'm using: 2.0.3 I haven't tried
I have this same issue but it also effects smplayer it is very annoying. Debian Testing x64 KDE v4.8.4 XRender
I must change the title of this bug from 'vlc prevents' to 'video players prevents' as I have begun to have the same problem using (s)mplayer as kittyinapc@gmail.com says. The problem persists on KDE 4.9.2.
