I am runnning ubuntu 12.04 alongside of win 7. When I try to back up mykey money it says it can't mount. I don't know what that means. It is like it won't recognize my cd rom. How can I fix this? Reproducible: Always
You can simply copy the file using any file manager. No need to use KMyMoney's builtin backup feature. Hope that helps.
Is the problem under Windows or Ubuntu? Does the error happen before or after you click "OK" on the Backup dialog? Is the box "Mount this directory before backing up" checked? You only need it checked if the backup directory specified is on a file system that is not already mounted, such as a thumb drive.

Yes the mount box is checked.
What directory are you trying to back up to? If it is already mounted, you do not need to check that box. If it is not mounted, can you mount it manually? I you are really trying to mount a device, then perhaps you don't have sufficient permissions. Is this a new error - did it ever work before?
The mount checkbox should not be checked.
